It’s Sunday, it’s also game day, and I skipped breakfast. This is a dangerous combination for just scarfing down the first thing I see on the couch. Ooooooor….I can load up the family and deal with grumbles from the Buddha belly for 45 minutes and marvel at the primo parking spot I got. Because the family grocery-getter ain’t going anywhere for a long time. There’s delicious all-you-can-eat Mexican food with and an extra sandwich to be consumed professionally. Habanero’s has a new best friend!
Have you ever been eating a taco and wonder how awesome it would be with bacon. Wow, me too! Habanero’s has fresh, wonderful and hot food on their buffet line and it’s not just a bunch of cheap filler. It’s rich, spicy, juicy, saucy, and plenty of it. Plus it has BACON!!!!!! Along with some great Mexican breakfast delights like chorizo and eggs. And check out that bar! Football, margaritas, endless Mexican food and…….
The Poblana torta had no problemo when it came to making our Best Between Bread series. It’s soft bread, spicy pork, fresh avocado, lettuce, tomato and sour cream was the capper this lunch needed. Because when you’re eating off a buffet one should get a sandwich too. It’s a law somewhere. We’ll see if Bettendorf gets a championship this December!
