The Best Between Bread-Iowa’s Sandwich Masters: Locale 10, Cedar Falls

Downtown Cedar Falls is loaded with great places to eat and have yourself flippin’ great time. And don’t we know it! This isn’t our first time here or our last. Not even the first time at Whiskey Road and it will NOT be our last. The Iowa Gallivant is crowning a sandwich champion, in December, and one of our favorite neighborhoods has themselves a contender!

We wrapped it up with chipotle chicken and some thick cut sweet potato steak fries that came with their own creamy sweet dipping sauce. Another selection was the grilled pork tenderloin with their signature bacon glaze. By the way, it should be a rule that all pork be served with more pork. Both very tasty, but neither made our list….But this one did!

Smoked chicken salad sandwich! A comfort food staple and Whiskey Road’s version gave it their own mastery. Crunchy celery, almonds, red onion, mayo, and that perfectly smoked chicken on a toasted bun. And get the bacon potato salad because you need to start planning all those summer picnics. Or just go to Whiskey Road and get double bourbon neat. They feature a huge selection of spirits with many of them from right here in Iowa. Eat local and drink local and be as Iowan as you can possibly be. Hey, Whiskey Road! Rye me!
