BeerBurger might be a new restaurant, but they also know how to make an instant impact. Time to get another corridor contender in here. 575 Cameron Way

North Liberty, IA: Johnson County

We all need that precious reason, excuse, motivation, or maybe a threat from a loved one to spark a road trip. Whatever that final image or reason is that triggers your curiosity and get you moving can be a lot of things. Gourmet cheeseburgers and an option to pour your own beer whenever you want could be all some of us need to pack things up and head to the Iowa City area and explore one of Iowa’s fastest growing communities. The city of North Liberty’s exciting growth has it’s premiere all beef patty destination with BeerBurger! Burgers aren’t all they have….

Jumbo chicken wings coated with sweet BBQ sauce to start things off for us. They came out hot and had a little crisp left in them. Then a nice bowl of creamy Mac & Cheese for the big bad 11 year old in our group. Our newly anointed teenager had a huge beer battered pork tenderloin dusted in corn flakes giving it a huge crunch. And now we get into our first burger experience here. The #4: Bacon onion marmalade, smoked applewood blue cheese, Iowa beer-battered onion strings and arugula. The arugula means I got my greens so that’s a good thing. Don’t leave out the BeerBurger fries with truffle oil, Parmigiano-Reggiano and truffle creme fraiche. Oh baby! Let’s get a drink before we get to the contender at Beer Burger….

Pour you own beer or pour your own soft drink. Why wait! The beer system is simple. You get a wristband that calculates each beer you pour and it puts it on you bill. That simple, folks! And the beer list goes on and on. From Iowa to nationwide craft beers to your favorite macro brews you can order from the servers and bartenders. Now lets get to another burger!

There’s something in between that pretzel roll that could be the makings of a champion.

The #5: Iowa beer caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, roasted red peppers, Gruyere cheese and Worcestershire aiooooooooooooooooli. Holy mother of cheeseburgers, we have an amazing meal here on The Iowa Gallivant and it could give North Liberty a Best Between Bread winner in December. And check-out those dirty fries! Dirty meaning they’re topped with applewood smoked bacon and blue cheese. If that’s dirty then consider me filthy because we housed the whole order. And it’s time for all of you to do the same!
