Full of flour, coffee, and the uncontrollable desire to make delicious creations is the owner of Mishmash and she was able to escape for a photo-op in her proud dining room. Have a cup of Joe and a generous slice of coffee cake while you’re here and a……SANDWICH!
Look at the layers on those unbelievable biscuits! The Elvis has peanut butter, banana, bacon and honey. But how about a little less conversation and a little more biscuit. (You can thank the King of Rock for that last line) The breakfast staple that is in the running for the greatest Iowa sandwich is Mishmash’s is the “Spicy”. You don’t need a fancy name when your ingredients do all the talking. Those said biscuits are hugging fresh fried eggs, pepper jack cheese, Sriracha chili sauce, and your choice of meat. I went all piggy with bacon and ham and a giant smile as I devoured every bit possible. Indianola has a contender for the best sandwich master in Iowa.
