Iowa is well known for a few sandwiches that many of us were raised on. BBQ pulled pork seemed to be at every sporting event I can remember. The loose meat…Call it a Maid-Rite, Tavern or Canteen but we all love seeing that crumbled beef steam its way to our jaws. And then there’s the staple that hits the fryers at Joensy’s every few minutes during its hours of operation. You knew this was coming. The breaded pork tenderloin!
Now you see me…..And now you don’t! The tenderloins are huge here and they’ve been rocking these out in Center Point for over 25 years and, by the looks of how many folks were there for lunch, it doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. This was a classic tenderloin, but it had a little twist.
The Boss Hog! If there’s anything better than having some quality pork on a bun its adding more pork! This tenderloin was topped with American cheese AND bacon. That’s how you support one of Iowa’s biggest industries right there, ladies and gentleman. Center Point is no stranger to championships so let’s see if they get another one in December.
