There’s a few things in this world that I would be willing to eat everyday for the rest of my life. BBQ is without a doubt on that list. Another thing that people would love to do everyday is golf. If only there was a place where you could do both. Guess what! The search is over! The Iowa Gallivant rolled into Eldridge and the town has an establishment that can dirty up that pretty golf shirt of yours reeeal quick. And you may not even get mad about it. Your short game…..That might cause some frustration. But, just down from the clubhouse you can work on all those emotions over a huge plate of meat at Lynn’s BBQ & Saloon!
Lynn’s is right on beautiful Rustic Ridge Golf Course and has an amazing view from the dining room. Or should we call it the BBQ room? Smoke room? How about we figure that out later and get to the food. As we’ve said before, napkins are for amateurs.
A Memphis style of BBQ right here in Eastern Iowa. The first two orders took the low and slow classical route with tender beef brisket and juicy pulled pork. And what I love about Lynn’s is they keep three of their homemade BBQ sauces at the table for you to put on yourself. They do all the hard work and its our job to keep up the momentum with properly saucing up our own ‘Q. The third item was their brisket wrap with a big’ole helping of house made sweet potato fries. They’re healthy cuz they’re orange. So eat as many as you want! You know what else you should eat? The sandwich that made a smooth landing into our Best Between Bread search!
The Rustic Ridge Chicken Cordon Bleu is in the running for a championship in December! A toasted bun with tender chicken breast, sliced ham, Swiss cheese, and honey mustard. When someone does the traditional this good, it should be recognized. Will Eldridge “ace” this sandwich search? We’ll see about that this winter!
