La Placita has found its place in Team Goodvin’s taco tour of Iowa! Waterloo could have a champion coming. 322 West 4th Street

Waterloo, IA: Black Hawk County

There is no way we are tired of tacos. We will never grow weary of this amazing creation that is swarming Iowa. Everywhere we go, we find another place that is showing why we must continue this search. We head to a little place in downtown Waterloo for some true taqueria love. Anyone hungry for veal head? We are!

I love a big juicy steak as much as anyone. I also support the movement getting back to consuming the whole darn animal.

We also ordered a BUNCH of breakfast tacos! We’ve had these before in other places, but La Placita nailed down the perfect ratio of chorizo, eggs, and potatoes.

La Placita served up some great tacos to Team Goodvin during our visit to Waterloo. They even had a some baked goods and fresh carnitas for the taking. We love eating local and showing everyone what you can do with a delicious taco and a really strong work ethic. La Placita figured all of this out and could rise as possible champions!
