Right on the banks of the Mississippi River in Muscatine, is a place you could wind up spending the day at and never want to leave. 411 West Mississippi Drive

Muscatine, IA: Muscatine County

Craft beer and tacos. With more craft beer and tacos. Followed by craft beer and tacos. JayJay and Monie found our happy place while watching the Big Muddy flow by the whole time. The Clamshell is connected to Contrary Brewing Company and we couldn’t have been happier about that. Beer flights along with a dip flight and….TACOS!

A pan loaded with freshly fried corn tortilla chips and another with salsas, guacamole, and queso. Accompanied by a sangria made with world famous Muscatine watermelons. Next round was another one of the Clamshell’s specialties. The classic surf and turf mixture of tender steak and delicious shrimp. Piled into corn tortillas with pico de gallo, and avocado. Mission accomplished on a great afternoon, Muscatine.
