When you want a shrimp taco….you need to get a shrimp taco! We were road tripping through southern Iowa when we hit up Monroe County and the town square of Albia. Standing out with the rest of the historic buildings was Casa Agave. It was a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was filling up customers. Always an invited sign…
The servers placed themselves through the dining room as table after table of customers poured in Casa Agave. The vibrant colors and tejano music getting pumped in kept the ambiance exciting and enjoyable as we inhaled our tacos.
We filled up on tacos and some of the most well-prepared and fresh tasting guacamole we’ve had on our travels. Casa Agave came through for Team Goodvin and is doing the same for Albia’s locals and visitors everyday. We’ll see if Casa Agave has what it takes to be an Iowa Gallivant champion in December!
Be sure to read about our other taco discoveries in the communities of Albia, Bettendorf, Columbus Junction, Coralville, Davenport, Fairfield, Fort Madison, Iowa City, Kalona, Knoxville, Lamoni, Muscatine, North Liberty, Ottumwa, Solon, Storm Lake, Tama, Tipton, Toledo, Wapello, Washington, Waterloo, West Branch, West Liberty, and Winfield. One of these towns will be awarded Best Hometown Tacos in December of 2016!
Thanks for reading! -Team Goodvin
