*Sliding into SW-Iowa with steak suppers on our minds! Is that a Glenn Miller song? Well, his birthplace of Clarinda may have some great music to go along with a great dinner on the town square! Our meal at J Bruner’s was complimentary. The views expressed in this blog post are of our own. Now, let’s Gallivant!
Tell me there’s a town square and I’ll tell you that I want to see it! We’ve had the pleasure of seeing many Iowa towns with this classic business district layout, and they all have their own uniqueness. Locally owned shops, boutiques, florists, bookstores, antiques, phenomenal restaurants, and more of Iowa’s treasures with every loop around the square. Clarinda is one of those towns we’re talking about and the fantastic J Bruner’s calls its historic square home. This restaurant is attracting the locals with more out-of-towers discovering its delicious menu selections with every passing year with juicy steaks ready to meet another happy table!
We saw a lot of Page County and went all over Clarinda during our visit. Museums, rural drives, historic landmarks, and much more in this southwest Iowa community. A whole day of gallivanting will always create an appetite. J Bruner’s did a fantastic job of hosting all of us and I can’t wait to get another flavorful taste of Kansas City again!
