*Our stay at the Best Western-Starlite Village was complimentary and the views expressed on this blog post are of our own. Now, let’s Gallivant!
Fort Dodge, IA: Webster County
We’ve been writing about and traveling to see our great friends in Fort Dodge since 2015 and we have had the pleasure to stay at a particular establishment a few times in that stretch. Our lodging partner, a few weeks ago, was once again the folks at the Best Western- Starlite Village and we had the comfy clothes ready for the occasion!
It features a modern lobby for folks who want to relax at the hotel immediately, or if you need a break from the rest of the crew you traveled with. You love a nice, clean pool to help you forget about the cool weather for a bit? The Starlite Village has that and, for us, it was only a few cute little hops, skips and jumps from the front door of our room. That’s what I call easy belly-flop accessibility. This place also has a full service restaurant called Buford’s Steakhouse & BBQ and it has the full bar with craft beers ready to knock back. The Starlite Village also had one of the greatest pieces of pop culture of my youth… the original Die Hard arcade game!
Stay in or go out? Stay in or go out? Stay in or go out? It can be a hard decision to make when have that relaxing room available at this hotel. The staff keeps it tidy, clean and looking like new everyday. It also had a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, sparkling bathroom and beds that kept us rested all weekend long.
The complimentary breakfast at the Starlite was just what we needed to get the Gallivanting going! We Iowans love our breakfast pizza and this hotel makes it happen. Along with omelets, biscuits and gravy, ham, bacon, cold cereal, hot coffee, cold juices and all your favorite toasted breads.
Thank you to everyone that made another stay at this Best Western property a great one again. We’ve now had the pleasure of seeing Fort Dodge during every season and we’ve had a fantastic time every time. Until the next Gallivant, Starlite Village!
