Your Courtyard to Council Bluffs

*We did an exciting scouting mission for this RAGBRAI-2019 town and we were lucky enough to get a complimentary room here at the Courtyard by Marriott Omaha East/Council Bluffs. The views expressed are of our own. Let’s gallivant!

Council Bluffs is home to an exciting entertainment district of casinos, conventions, concerts, shows, and all around good times. This nearby Courtyard by Marriott is ready for your stay while you enjoy this area and beyond! 2501 Bass Pro Drive 712-318-3330

Council Bluffs, IA: Pottawattamie County

Getting to know a town is best when you have a great place to stay, and our recent trip to Council Bluffs brought us to one of the Marriott’s family of hotels. Not even a year old and this Courtyard by Marriott still feels like a brand spankin’ new property with a staff that was keeping us welcomed the whole time.

What a coincidence. Checked in at the same time as happy hour. Totally unplanned.

Lounge around in the lobby while you enjoy those happy hour bevs.

I always like it when the hotel snack bar has the feel of walking into a movie theater.

This place has enough snacks to challenge the appetite of your average NFL football team, a full bar with local craft beer, bistro, and some of the best furniture you’ll enjoy in Council Bluffs. And we’re not even out of the lobby yet. That’s a premium welcome if you ask this traveler!

No jumping allowed on these thick, beautiful, comfortable beds. But you can get plenty of relaxation done.

Marriott cares about the environment from the front door to the very room you’re staying in. A section in your trash bin for recycling is a special touch many travelers are looking for these days.

You can get out and see the greatness of Council Bluffs, like we did, or you can stay in your room and binge your favorite show.

You can have it both ways. Spend a summer day gallivanting and go right into Netflix with all best intentions of staying up past 10pm like a real party animal.

The rooms are just as we thought they would be. Enjoyable and with modern surroundings with fantastic beds, fast WiFi, great air conditioner, a TV coming in clear as bell, and the comfort you need to sleep anywhere. I recommend the bed. Or take that awkward dad nap on the chair, with your neck bobbing back and forth, and scolding the first person you see for taking the remote.

You won’t miss your gym membership one bit when you stay at the Courtyard by Marriott.

This was taken pre-cannonball performance from myself and I’m up for any challengers.

Breakfast is a big deal here and that’s why you can have a delicious one. This sandwich with turkey, melted cheese, egg white, and green chiles, along with more selections can be enjoyed with your favorite Starbucks beverage. Healthy meals and plenty of coffee to get that day rolling along.

There’s always going to be plenty to see when you’re in the Council Bluffs area and no one would shame you at all if most of your time was spent here at this hotel. There’s plenty of casinos, restaurants, easy access to the whole metro area, and this Courtyard by Marriott with rock stars working here everyday. Keep the ice coffees pouring, hot sandwiches flying to the tables, cold beers coming, and spectacular rooms ready for more crews like ours!
