Oskaloosa, Iowa: Mahaska County
We rolled into town for a tour of the NoCoast brewery and supper at the Wood Iron Grille. That was just the first leg of our Oskaloosa Gallivant and after beer and pasta, I was ready to see another side of Osky. That would be the relaxing part. This local Fairfield Inn & Suites had my room ready to do just that!
We checked in a little on the late side and that just meant I was looking forward to my stay here even more. I love soaking up a clean and comfortable hotel room right when I arrive. I cherish doing one of the most underrated tasks of a quality getaway anywhere. I did nothing. Nothing but lay in my glorious bed and kept my eyes forward on that flat screen TV. It told me to relax so that’s what I did!
Plenty of options to wind down at Fairfield Inn & Suites-Oskaloosa. Yes, your room is handy for just that. You could also take a dip or belly flop your way into the pool, congregate in the very nice and modern lobby on comfortable furniture, or open up some beverages and key in on some tasty snacks located by the front desk.
Mahaska and Marion counties work very close with each other and it’s a beautiful thing to see. Thousands of visitors crisscross through the area, and this hotel will host many of them wanting to see as much as they can. Pumping iron and getting to know the South Central region of Iowa is going to be the next workout craze.
The staff here did great on what looked like a very busy Friday night. Spring is bringing all those pretty flowers, but it’s also bringing a huge boom in traveling. We are very much a part of that crowd. The room was perfectly ready for us and I know the housekeeping staff had a fast paced weekend. The front desk crew was being very speedy and professional, and we appreciate all the service they do for us whenever we stay at a Fairfield Inn & Suites. Thank you to all at this hotel and keep up the great work during the summer months ahead and into 2022. Osky is very lucky to have this hotel and there will be many more guests that will want to come back. We are very much in that crowd, too.
